POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Cooperatively plans, organizes, provides, and evaluates community education and health education activities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Licensed Vocational Nurse Diploma is required. Certification in a health-related subject that is specific to health promotion and wellness is required. Must have good business etiquette and excellent oral and written communication skills. Two years member service experience in a managed health care setting is preferred. Medicaid knowledge is preferred. Bilingual ability in English/Spanish is preferred. .
LICENSURE
Must possess a current permit or license from the board of nurse examiners for the State of Texas to practice vocational nursing.
Assigned patient observation(s) by the charge nurse. Remains with and monitors the safety of his/her assigned patients at all times. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post-secondary education or medical background preferred. CPR certification required.
